I took these photos as my baseline for comparison, but apparently I was already 1 day pregnant, woo-hoo! Yup yup, we got pregnant the very first time we tried. What can I say? We were just meant to procreate with each other . . .
4 Weeks
I was so excited!!! The first thing to change was my boobs - I’m already over a cup size bigger here in the first month. There was also a little pooch there, but who knows, it could have just been . . . *ahem* . . . used food. Excitement!!!
7 Weeks
Okay, ugh! This was when the morning sickness hit, can you tell? I’m pretty haggard, queasy and exhausted and of course - hot! It was midsummer and in the hundreds with no AC . . . not fun with the nausea. (but still SO FUN, right?)
12 Weeks
Eeeee! I was so thrilled when I took these, because I thought that for the first time, I *really* looked pregnant. It’s such a beautiful thing to watch and feel your body grow (although sometimes painful - zee biggering boobies, yowza)
14 Weeks
Ahhh, into the 2nd trimester. Can you see the relaxation in my face? That’s the big ‘bye-bye’ to morning sickness and fatigue (and hot weather). Feeling much better and getting into my pregnant groove. And wearing Damian’s jeans!
16 Weeks
Feeling great and growing all over . . . except the hair. *chop chop* But seriously, the belly is really bumping and the bumps above it . . . well, they’re just totally out of control. Out of control! I’m up over 2 cup sizes now. Maybe 3.
18 Weeks
Look at that belly! You can see it from the front! It’s really popping out these days, too much to hide. But, I still don’t look totally pregnant and could still pass for ‘chubby’. At least, strangers haven’t started asking about it yet. Yet!
20 Weeks
5 months already, can you believe it?? I’m trying to keep it interesting with all these pictures. Pregnant Egyptian dance, eh? This shit is ridiculous mounts of fun. But really, time is flying by and I suddenly feel like I’ve got a LOT to do . . .
And that brings us up to present, with more to come soon!
22 Weeks
Look at how pregnant I look! People are finally starting to give me ‘that look’ and even asking me how far along I am. I love it when people touch my belly, and I’m not even a very touchy person. But more love for the baby, I say!
24 Weeks
Hello, six whole months! Holy crap this is flying by! I guess it’s time to start thinking about what I need to do and buy and build and ahhhh. My boobs is big.
I took a few extras this week. First, Damian says I don’t even look pregnant from the back What do you think? He’s kind of right, huh? So weird. Second, the belly! In all its naked glory! Couldn’t resist, had to share. I guess I’m carrying super forward and pretty high. Ain’t it just grand??? (please note the fabulous rubber band rig on my jeans button. I’m all class, baby)
26 Weeks
So, one Thanksgiving and two weeks later . . . hello belly! It’s kinda hard to see in the side shot, but I couldn’t resist using that picture - look at Hars! So cute. Anyway, you can see behind my arm. That shit is BIG. I’ve gained 23 pounds.
28 Weeks
7 months! Into the third trimester! My belly is starting to torpedo - and to balance out what’s above. I love it I love it I love it. I can also feel him all the time now, wiggling around and kicking into my ribs (he’s head down already)
Also, BEST OUTTAKE EVAR!
30 Weeks
30 weeks, a milestone! I’m so so so thrilled to have made it to the 30s. It’s been 2 weeks since our scare and the further we get from that point, the stronger I feel and the more confident I become. Look at that lovely pooch! Not so little . . .
32 Weeks
32 weeks and happy to be back home (again). The weather’s been so grey here (you can tell from the awful lighting in these), and I’ve been snuggled up on the couch, continuing my bed rest. The paper chain is for each day we have left. =)
34 Weeks
34 weeks! I was so happy this week I was just dancing through my pictures. It’s so amazing to feel my squirmy-worm in there. He’s so strong! And, as you can see, BIG! We like to hang out and practice for when he’s here . . . dancin’!
36 Weeks
36 weeks, and um . . . hello!? Growth spurt!!! I just had to take some pics with the belly unveiled, seeing as how magnificent it’s become. It’s hysterical too ‘cause the rest of me is still relatively small. Damian says it just looks like I have a giant belly bolted onto my old body. He’s very sweet for saying so. ;-)
37 Weeks
37 weeks!!! We are technically, officially at term! WE DID IT! I have to be honest, there was a part of me that feared we’d never be here. But we are, and everything is okay, and it’s just SO SO exciting. He can come out now. Come out and play, son!
